Welcome Rain

It's raining....finally! I've been anticipating this rain for days. For those of you that live in this section of the country, you know what I'm talking about. We've been SO dry and parched for years. Never enough rain to make a significant and positive impact.

It started sprinkling here around 4 pm, but just off & on sprinkles, and I got a little discouraged, thinking "is this ALL there's going to be? Just 'spitting' here & there? What a ripoff!" But then as the evening progressed, so did the rain. Right about 6:30 it started coming down a little steadier and a little heavier. This is the GOOD kind of rain, the soft, gentle rain that soaks into the ground instead of puddling up and running off immediately. And the air after the rain is just heavenly...so clean, crisp and fresh...ahhhh....I love it...

I'll enjoy it while it lasts, because come Tuesday, we're supposed to be back up into the mid 90's once again.
